How to resize your NEET photo

  1. Take a new photo in front of a plain white wall, facing the camera, with both ears visible and no mask. A colour photo is safest.
  2. Choose it in tool 1. The 10–200 KB range is already set.
  3. Tap Crop & rotate and crop so your face fills most of the photo, from just above the hair to just below the chin.
  4. Download and upload the JPG.

Keep a copy of the original photo. NEET asks for printed postcard photos with the same white background later, and the live photo taken during the form should look like the same person.

How to resize your NEET signature

  1. Sign on plain white paper with a black or blue pen.
  2. Photograph it from straight above; the table around the paper is removed automatically.
  3. Choose it in tool 2. The limits are set to 10–100 KB and the paper is turned pure white.
  4. Download and upload the JPG.

NEET finger and thumb impressions

NEET also asks for impressions of your fingers and thumbs. Press each finger once on an ink pad and then firmly on white paper, roll slightly so the ridges show, and photograph the sheet straight from above. Use tool 2 with the clean-up options on: they keep the ridges dark and the paper white. Set Min 50 and Max 200 before you download, so the file fits both ranges given in the bulletin. If the form shows its own limit next to the upload box, follow that.

Identity proof and certificates

If you do not verify through Aadhaar or DigiLocker, NEET asks for an identity proof as a JPG between 10 KB and 200 KB. Photograph the card flat on a dark table, crop to the card in tool 1, and keep Max at 200 KB. Category, PwBD/UDID, Class X certificates and address proof are uploaded as PDF files of 50–300 KB, which this JPG tool does not create; use a PDF compressor for those.

NEET photo vs JEE Main photo

Both use 10–200 KB with 80% of the face, ears visible and a white background. The difference is colour: NEET accepts black and white, JEE Main asks for colour only. If you are applying to both, use one recent colour photo for both forms; see JEE Main photo size.

Common NEET photo mistakes

Related

JEE Main uses the same 10–200 KB photo range but needs a colour photo; see JEE Main photo and signature size. For UPSC's stricter 75% face rule see UPSC photo and signature size. For any 200 KB photo field use compress image to 200KB, or set a custom limit with photo resize in KB.

Frequently asked questions

What is the NEET photo size in KB?

The NEET UG 2026 information bulletin asks for a passport photo in JPG/JPEG between 10 KB and 200 KB, colour or black and white, with 80% of the face visible including ears, on a white background, without a mask.

What is the NEET signature size?

A JPG/JPEG file between 10 KB and 100 KB. No dimensions are given.

How old can my NEET photo be?

The NEET UG 2026 bulletin asked for a photo taken on or after 1 January 2026, and said Polaroid and computer-generated photos are not accepted. Check the date rule in the bulletin for your year.

What size are the NEET finger and thumb impressions?

JPG/JPEG. The 2026 bulletin gives two different ranges, 10–200 KB in one place and 50–300 KB in another. A file between 50 KB and 200 KB satisfies both.

Do I need to upload a postcard size photo for NEET?

Not in 2026. The bulletin asked candidates to keep 4–6 printed postcard size (4×6 inch) photos with a white background for later use, but did not ask for an upload.

Can I use the same photo for NEET and JEE Main?

Yes, if it is a recent colour photo with a white background and your ears visible. NEET also allows black and white, but JEE Main does not, so colour works for both.

Is my photo uploaded to this website?

No. Everything is processed in your browser and never leaves your device.
